PurePro allows users to create and manage placements, which are then used to generate timesheets. Placements streamline the timesheet creation process by storing essential details such as rates, job roles, and other relevant information. This feature ensures accurate and efficient timesheet generation, reducing manual entry and improving overall payroll management.
Placements are created against worker and customer records. in essence, a placement links a worker to a customer.
Adding Placements
To create a placement, follow these steps:-
Navigate to workforce → Placement
Select a worker and customer
Add relevant details
Click "Save"
Click on "Save & Add" to add another placement record subsequently otherwise "Save" to add information to newly created placement record.

Adding Placement Information
After creating a placement, users can add data to this record. Following data can be added to a placement record to streamline the timesheet creation:
Placement Type:- Users can select the placement type as continuous, One-Off or Intermittent as per their requirements.
external Reference: - Users can add any external reference (if applicable).
Start Date: - Users can update the placement start date.
End date:- Users can Update the placement end date.
Rates: - Users can add rates to the placement record. To add a rate, click on "Add Row" under "Rates" section in the "Details" tab.
Pay rate:- Pay Rate is used to generate payslip/remittance.
Bill Rate: - Bill rate is used to generate invoices.
Backing Data: - Any placement associated backing data can be added in the "Backing Data" tab. For further information refer to Backing Data guide.
Backing Data is driven by customer record and associated billing scheme
Users can view the associated timesheets in the "Timesheets" tab.

After creating a placement and adding relevant information, users can create an associated timesheet directly from the placement record, by clicking on "Create Timesheet" in the "Details Tab"

Placements with associated timesheets cannot be removed/deleted.
Adding Placements for IR35 Contractors
Users can process the IR35 placements in the application, which applies the IR35 rules to the payslip processed against the contractor worker.
IR35 placements can be processed against contractors with "Starter Form". For more information, please refer to our Contractorsguide.
To add placement for IR35 contractors, follow these steps: -
Navigate to Workforce→ Placement
Click on "Create New"
Enable "Inside IR35"
Add other relevant details
Click Save
Users can also enable "Inside IR35" for contractor placements by editing the placement after saving.

"Inside IR35" flag will apply to all associated timesheets processed against this placement
Enabling Recurring Rates
The recurring timesheet feature in placement supports automatically generating timesheets for each period based on the placement rates, continuing until the placement expires. This functionality streamlines timesheet management by ensuring consistent and accurate time tracking without manual intervention, simplifying payroll processing for long-term placements.
To enable recurring timesheets, follow these steps:
Timesheets against this placement record will be auto generated using the recurring rate from the following periods until the placement end date.

"Recurring Rates" is only available if a rate has been added in the placement.
