PurePro allows employers to manage and process "Statutory Payments" for eligible employees. It provides an efficient way to add automatic transactions, track payments and manage reporting.
Statutory Payments can be processed for PAYE workers only.
PurePro application, supports following Statutory Payments:
Statutory Sick Pay (SSP)
Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP)
Statutory Paternity Pay (SPP)
Statutory Adoption Pay (SAP)
Statutory Shared Parental Bereavement Pay (SPBP)
Statutory Shared Parental Leave (SSHP)
Statutory Neonatal Pay (SNCP)
Users can only process 1 active Statutory Pay for a worker in a period.
Adding Statutory Payment
To add a Statutory Payment, follow these steps:
Navigate to Payroll → Payments
Click on "Create New"
Select a worker
Select a "Statutory Payment" under "Rate" as required, e.g. Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP), Statutory Paternity Pay (SPP), Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), Statutory Adoption Pay (SAP), Statutory Shared Parental leave (SSHP), Statutory Shared Parental Bereavement Pay (SPBP) or Statutory Neonatal Pay (SNCP).
Add relevant details, as required
Click "Save"
Each statutory payment is constrained by a start and end date. Users can leave the end date as blank, for the application to create a statutory payment for the maximum duration as allowed under pay requirements.

As required, workers earning below Lower Earnings Limit (LEL) are not eligible for Statutory Payments; However, payroll managers can override these requirements to process a payment where an employee's pay falls under LEL limit.
Users can view current statutory pay rates, LEL and other validations in the "Statutory Rates Page" under {Admin → Statutory Rates}
To override LEL requirements, follow these steps:
Navigate to Payroll → Payments
Click on "Create New"
Select a worker
Select a "Statutory Payment" under "Rate" as required
Add relevant details, as required
Enable "Override LEL Validations"
Add "Weekly Earnings Amount" to be used for overriding validation

When processing Statutory Pay for a worker, PurePro application, automatically processes an absence for the worker against the related period.
