An is a report submitted to HMRC by employers as part of the Real Time Information (RTI) system in the UK. It details the payments made to employees, including their earnings, tax deductions, National Insurance contributions, and other payroll information for each pay period.
The FPS is typically submitted on or before the employees' payday, ensuring that HMRC is updated in real time about the payroll and tax status of workers. It is a key document in ensuring compliance with UK tax laws and enables accurate tax calculations for employees.
To submit an FPS, follow these steps: -
Navigate to Control Centre
Close "Finalise Payroll"
Close "FPS" to submit the Full Payment Submission
Once completed, users can click on the FPS task from the completed list in the control centre to navigate to HMRC Outbox.

A successful FPS submission is subject to quality of worker data, FPS doesn't allow symbols and special characters in worker's forename, surname and address lines. To prevent a FPS failure, PurePro actively monitors data for worker's paid in current period. Any worker on FPS and failing to meet HMRC requirements, will prevent users from submitting FPS.
A task is raised for any affected worker in the pay run and FPS submission will be allowed if the associated task has been resolved or worker is taken off the current FPS submission.
Users can also use the "Pre-Validate" button next to "FPS" task in the control centre to validate the FPS data for any discrepancies prior to closing the task.
HMRC has laid down guidelines on including workers with leave dates in previous periods on the FPS submission.
